We at Lloyd Vine strive to provide a service to everyone and some people may misunderstand our approach to provide market wide investment advice alongside ethical. We firmly believe in ethical investments, but feel we are doing more good by not restricting our advice to this. When you set your stall up for ethical and green issues, only those people who already have social, environmental and ethical awareness would approach us. We can introduce a far wider investment group to these types of savings and thereby do more good. We can demonstrate that you do not have to suffer lower returns on ethical funds. Profit and caring about our environment and social issues is very much achievable. People have two approaches to investing for a better future. There is what we call a negative approach. With this you might want to avoid arms manufacturers or organisations who conduct animal vivisection, support oppressive regimes, or sell tobacco or alcohol. Then there is a positive approach which could mean you look to invest in progressive companies who promote environmental initiatives or who offer products and services, such as renewable energy, public transport or waste disposal.
